Joe Lawyer III & NewSound Ministries (JL3 & NewSound) is an evangelistic worship ministry with the mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus through song.  JL3 & NewSound was formed in 2008, by Joseph J. Lawyer III, initially as a school worship team.  As time progressed, they began to receive several invitations to lead worship outside of the school walls.

 

 

Over the years JL3 & NewSound went through many transitions: members moving on to new ventures and new members coming in.  However, the mission of the ministry never changed — preaching the Gospel through song, and compelling others to pursue a relationship with Him.  JL3 & NewSound has thrived on their versatility, being formed to lead chapels in a predominately white Christian school doing Contemporary Christian Music, while having deep roots in Traditional Gospel Music.  This has allowed them to minister among a variety of audiences.

After making a couple of appearances on Ministry @ The Campus and releasing a single (Purify My Heart Lord), in 2018 they finally released their debut album entitled "Goodbye Fear".  You can expect to hear more from them in the near future, starting with the release of their sophomore album entitled "The Resurrection Project".
