Our Story
"Empowering Youth Through Worship"
While attending college, I spent most of my free time in my dorm room writing and producing songs. Over the years, songwriting had become a safe space, an exercise that brought joy, and a healthy means of reflection during challenging times. It kept me grounded in my walk with Christ.
One day while talking with a cousin, he hit me with a question. "What are you waiting on? You're writing all of these songs, but when will they actually be heard?". He challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and put something out there. From this conversation, God gave me the vision for Ministry @ The Campus. The mission was to take my gifts and skills, and use them to pour into other students. So, I converted my dorm room into a make-shift studio and got to work!
Ministry @ The Campus started off with two aspects: live events and studio recording. We hosted multiple live events on campus, and began recording songs with a couple of students. After recording volumes 1-3, we took a break. In that time I revisited what a relaunch would look like, and how I'd approach it in a new way.
In the spring of 2021, we relaunched Ministry @ The Campus with a few changes. First, we extended our demographic from solely college students to both high school and college students; then we formed a "group" element, presenting each cohort of students involved as ONE Worship United. Although each year, faces may change, ONE Worship United will remain.
We're excited for the revived vision and look forward to the growth of this youth empowerment movement.
